Yorkshire Cleans was founded by Nathan Kelly, a British Armed Forces veteran, to fix the one problem every office manager complains about: cleaners who can't be relied on.
Why a veteran ended up running a cleaning company.
After leaving the forces, Nathan spent time in facilities and operations roles across Yorkshire — and kept hearing the same thing from the people running buildings: "Our cleaners can't be trusted to turn up."
He started Yorkshire Cleans to fix exactly that. The model is simple: take the systems that make military operations work — briefings, checklists, supervisor sign-offs, after-action reports — and apply them to commercial cleaning.
The result is a contractor that behaves less like a cleaning company and more like a service operation. Which is the point.

Every member of the Yorkshire Cleans team is directly employed or contracted by us — we don't sub out to third parties. All staff are DBS-checked, fully uniformed, trained on COSHH, and work under a named regional supervisor.
